During this week we got a very interesting invitation from ContactChile. This contest is a new program from ProChile and it is oriented to companies and entrepreneurs who incorporate high levels of innovation in order to export their products or services.
As we mentioned in our previous post, Yasuhiro Fukushima is in Chile and Games For Food had the opportunity of having dinner with him!. He arrived to Chile some days ago in order to promote the Latin America Contest where Square Enix is looking for talented games developers.
Last week Games For Food participated in the talk given by Yasuhiro Fukushima-- known as the “Honorary Chairman” of Square-Enix. The purpose of his visit was the Latin America Game Contest 2012.
March was a great month for Games For Food! We were not only in the most important conference of the industry but we also met lots of interesting people.
We participated --along with other four Chilean video games studios-- in the GDC supported by our government. This opportunity allowed us to attend some talks and get to know more about the people who work in this area.
Some pirates were celebrating and having some rum after they obtained a great loot from a merchant ship. Suddenly, and by accident, a pirate turns on the fuse of a cannon bomb, giving it to the youngest pirate, Billy The Mop a.k.a the mopping boy, who has to take it and throw it overboard to save the ship.
We will be participating in the most important game developers conference: the Game Developers Conference 2012, GDC 2012. You can find us in the GDC Expo, booth 2002 from 7th to 9th March 2012.
The trip is organized by the Chilean Games Developers Association, VG Chile, and sponsored by ProChile, a Chilean government agency to promote exports.
